PTSD Treatment That Helps You Reclaim Your Life

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) isn’t just for veterans.
it can happen after any experience that overwhelms your ability to cope.
“Being strong” often means disconnecting from your own needs and suffering quietly, when what you simply need is care. At Nurture and Be Therapy Services, we help you process your story and remind you of your strength and capacity.
Here, you can go from surviving to connected, from trying to hold it all together to finding a community and a circle, that holds you.

WHAT IS PTSD?
Understanding PTSD: It’s More Common Than You Think
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is your brain and body’s response to overwhelming events. Trauma isn’t one-size-fits-all. PTSD can happen after:
- Vehicle accidents: Crashes, collisions, or even witnessing an accident
- Birth trauma: Emergency C-sections, complications, NICU stays, feeling unheard during labor
- Medical trauma: Surgeries, ICU experiences, painful procedures, frightening diagnoses
- Assault & violence: Physical or sexual assault, domestic violence
- Loss & grief: Sudden death, miscarriage, traumatic loss
- Childhood trauma: Abuse, neglect, abandonment
- Workplace or disaster trauma: Accidents, witnessing violence, natural disasters
Painful experiences like these leave real marks — on your body, your mind, and your spirit. With us, you’re allowed to lay it all out. We want to hear your story, and walk with you until it's not as scary.
Recognizing the Signs of PTSD
PTSD symptoms can show up right after the event — or months or years later. You might notice:

Carrying these symptoms quietly doesn’t make you strong; it makes you tired. Let us show you a better way.
How We Treat PTSD

What PTSD Therapy Looks Like at Nurture and Be
Care looks different for every individual. We are here to help you find the path that works for you. Some clients see significant improvement in 6-12 sessions, but more complex trauma can take time — and that’s okay. All you need is a yes to start, and we will be with you until the flashbacks and anxiety start to fade and better sleep and better days become your reality.
Your first session is where you put down the weight you’ve been carrying. Together, we will gently dissect your trauma history and how it’s affecting your life. Then the proactive work begins: putting together a plan, discussing treatment options, and building healthy coping skills that help you through your healing.
You control the pace; we never push you beyond what feels manageable. Together, we will track progress, take intentional pause to ground after hard sessions, and adjust treatment whenever and however needed.

The Collaborative Approach to PTSD Treatment
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. With our collaborative approach, your story only needs to be told once. We coordinate with psychiatrists, OBs, chiropractors, or functional medicine providers as needed — so you can put your energy into healing, not repeating your trauma. With your permission, we work together to coordinate care, so medication or other interventions are seamless.

GETTING SUPPORT
You Don’t Have to Wait
You might hesitate because you think:
- “It wasn’t that bad… other people had it worse.”
- “That was forever ago—why is this still coming up?”
- “I should be past this by now. What’s wrong with me?”
- “I can’t go back there. I barely held it together the first time.”
- “If I open this up, I’m afraid I won’t be able to deal.”
The truth is, PTSD is real, and seeking help is a sign of strength. You deserve support, and therapy can help you process safely, calm your nervous system, and reclaim your life.
