Our Story

Therapy and Counseling From Lived Experience

Nurture and Be was born from lived experience.

When founder Brooke Ferreira opened her practice three years ago, she was nine months pregnant — a therapist stepping into motherhood herself. Within days, she found herself navigating postpartum life: joy, exhaustion, isolation, identity shifts, and the quiet ache of realizing how little support truly existed for mothers.

While every provider supporting this season cared deeply, care was disconnected. That gap — between care and connection — became her calling.

That dream became Nurture and Be — a circle of care that exists to make life lighter, families stronger, and healing more connected.

The Circle of Care

A New Kind of Practice

Brooke envisioned a space where therapy feels like care — real care.
The kind that knows you by name, that sees your full story, not just your symptoms.

Here, women can walk in with a stroller, a crying baby, and the weight of the world.

From that vision came Nurture and Be: a place where women, families, and individuals can find the care, connection, and clarity that transforms not just their mental health — but their lives.

Our Model

Comprehensive Mental Health Care for Our Community

Nurture and Be isn’t just a practice. It’s a movement. We’re building a model of care that goes beyond the therapy room: a support system where collaboration is the standard.

Where families can have therapy appointments at the same time.

Where community partners meet at the same roundtable.

Where mental health is integrated into daily life, not isolated from it.

Helping Moms, Healing Families

We exist to restore connection, wholeness, and hope through therapy that honors the full human experience — body, mind, and soul.

Nurturing Through Life Transformations

In every session, we listen deeply, speak honestly, and create space for clarity and growth so therapy feels like relief — human, connected, and full of ease.

Redefining Modern Mental Health Care

We’re creating a connected, collaborative model of therapy where families, communities, and care providers come together to heal the whole individual.

Meet Brooke: Founder & Visionary

“If we can help the mom, we can heal the family.”

Our founder is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a mother of two, and the heart behind Nurture and Be.

Her work is shaped not only by professional training, but by lived experience — walking the tender, complex journey of motherhood herself.

As a postpartum and maternal mental health specialist, she is deeply committed to creating care that feels safe, honest, and whole — both in and out of sessions.

She hosts the Nurture and Be Podcast, extending the same compassion, insight, and real conversation beyond the therapy room and into everyday life.
