    Common Questions

Everything to know about our Sarasota virtual counseling services and more.

Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person?

Yes! Research consistently shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for most mental health concerns. Many clients actually prefer it for the convenience and comfort.

Are your therapists licensed in Florida?

Yes, all therapists providing services to Florida residents are licensed in Florida (as well as Georgia).

Can I do sessions from anywhere?

You need to be physically located in Florida during your sessions (this is a licensure requirement). But within Florida, you can join from home, office, car (if parked and private), hotel room, or anywhere you have privacy and internet.

What if I'm a seasonal resident?

Perfect! Many of our clients are snowbirds or seasonal residents. When you're in Florida, we can continue your care virtually. When you're in Georgia, we can also see you virtually. If you spend time in other states, we can discuss options.

How do I pay for virtual sessions?

Payment is processed securely online at the time of service. We accept credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

Do you have an office in Sarasota?

No, we don't have a physical office in Sarasota. We're a Georgia-based practice with Florida licensure, providing virtual-only services to Florida residents. This allows us to offer specialized expertise that might not be available locally.

What if I need in-person therapy?

If you determine that in-person therapy is necessary, we can provide referrals to local Sarasota therapists. However, most clients find virtual therapy meets their needs perfectly.

What platform do you use for sessions?

We use a HIPAA-compliant, secure video platform. You'll receive a link to join—no special downloads required (though apps are available if preferred).

What if my internet isn't great?

We can switch to phone sessions if video isn't working. While video is preferred, phone sessions are better than canceling.

    Still have questions?

We’re here to provide the clarity you need to take the next step.
