Chandler McCann
Professional Counselor
Chandler is a Therapist who supports children, teens, parents, and families through anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She uses a child-centered, play-based approach to help children feel safe, understood, and able to express what they may not yet have words for. Chandler also partners with caregivers to support growth, connection, and resilience beyond the therapy room.
Many children are carrying feelings they do not yet have the words to express. Anxiety, grief, life transitions, trauma, emotional dysregulation, school stress, or behavioral challenges can often show up through meltdowns, withdrawal, defiance, worry, or difficulty connecting with others. When this happens, parents and caregivers can feel overwhelmed too — wanting to help, but unsure what their child needs or how to support them.
In therapy with Chandler, children get a safe, accepting space to express themselves in the way they know best: through play. Chandler uses a child-centered, humanistic, and non-directive approach that honors each child’s natural ability to process, grow, and build resilience when they feel safe and understood. She also believes in partnering with caregivers, because meaningful change often happens when children feel supported both inside and outside of the therapy room.
Chandler’s goal is to help children feel seen, accepted, and free to express themselves without judgment. Through play, connection, and caregiver support, children can begin to discover their strengths, develop healthier coping skills, build emotional regulation, and move through hard things with more confidence and resilience.
