Alex Smith
Marriage and Family Therapist
Alex works with couples and adults who feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, anxiety, or communication breakdown. She takes a strength-based, systemic approach to help clients better understand what is happening beneath the surface, build healthier communication, set realistic boundaries, and create more connected relationships.
Many adults and couples find themselves carrying patterns that feel hard to change — conflict that escalates quickly, conversations that turn into disconnection, anxiety that makes it hard to feel grounded, or boundaries that feel difficult to set and maintain. Some are navigating relationship stress, life transitions, family dynamics, premarital concerns, or the feeling of trying everything and still ending up in the same place.
In therapy with me, adults and couples get a space to slow things down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what is happening beneath the surface. We’ll work together to better understand emotional triggers, communication patterns, and relational dynamics while building practical tools for healthier conflict, clearer self-expression, realistic boundaries, and deeper connection. I believe people and relationships do not need to be “fixed” — they need support, insight, and small meaningful shifts that help change feel possible.
